Pooches on the Patio at Vino-Birmingham
August 19th
Bring your four-legged friends to Vino in Mountain Brook on Wednesday, Aug. 19, for Pooches on the Patio, an evening benefiting the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. From 5:30 to 8 p.m., guests can enjoy Vino’s regular dinner menu, specialty cocktails and a chance to meet adoptable dogs from GBHS. The event will also feature giveaways, including a $100 Vino gift card, along with Tito’s merchandise and complimentary treats from Vino. The event celebrates Vino’s 15th anniversary and will take place on the restaurant’s patio at 1930 Cahaba Road. Reservations are encouraged.
Hog Days of Summer-Montgomery

Head to Montgomery on Saturday, Aug. 22, for Hog Days, a day celebrating barbecue, live music and community at 300 Water Street. The event will feature barbecue from chefs and restaurants including Rob McDaniel of Helen, Ryan Prewitt of Peche and Team Stabbin’, along with live performances throughout the day. Families can also enjoy a Kids Zone with inflatables, arts and crafts and games. Children under 12 receive free admission but still require a ticket.
Pickleball for a Purpose at the Picklr-Birmingham

Grab a paddle and head to The Picklr in Vestavia Hills on Sunday, Aug. 23, for the second annual Pickleball for a Purpose tournament benefiting the Avadian Foundation. The day will feature pre-tournament contests, multiple doubles divisions for beginner and intermediate players, and an open division for more competitive play. The tournament runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with divisions beginning at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Proceeds support the Avadian Foundation’s efforts in affordable housing, education, financial education, small-business development and scholarships.
Field to Fork 2026- Centre
August 19th
Celebrate local farmers and Alabama-grown food at the McCord’s Crossroads Homemakers Club’s Field to Fork in Centre. The event is a celebration of the area’s agricultural community, featuring a meal made with locally grown vegetables, fruits and meats. It’s a chance to enjoy a farm-fresh meal while supporting the farmers and producers who help put food on local tables.
The Loyola Art Show 2026-Mobile
August 20th-22nd
Spend the weekend browsing original artwork from more than 60 artists at The Loyola Art Show in Mobile. The three-day indoor event brings artists from across the Southeast together for an elevated shopping experience featuring paintings, photography, sculpture and other works available for purchase. Guests can also enter to win raffle prizes throughout the show, making it a chance to meet artists, shop for something special and enjoy Mobile’s creative community.
Summer Jam Fundraiser at Druid City Brewing Taproom and Ell’s Kitchen-Tuscaloosa

Spend Saturday afternoon at Druid City Brewing Company Taproom & Ell’s Kitchen in Tuscaloosa for the Summer Jam Fundraiser, benefiting Abilio and The Arc of Tuscaloosa County. Starting at 1 p.m. on Aug. 22, the event will feature live music, raffle prizes, food from Ell’s Kitchen and drinks from the taproom. The casual event offers an afternoon of live entertainment while supporting two local organizations.
