Chickasaw State Park is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful afternoon of wildlife watching. Eastern wild turkey, Bobwhite quail, and white-tailed deer can often be spotted in the area. Chickasaw State Park is an underrated stop on the state’s Black Belt Birding Trail. During migration seasons, the park draws visitors to view palm warblers, white-eyed vireos, northern flickers, indigo buntings, and ruby-crowned kinglets, among many others.

As temperatures rise, the park offers an ideal setting to sit back and relax with family. With four large pavilions and multiple picnic tables and grills, it can accommodate parties of all sizes. Reservations can be made with the park to enjoy their most popular pavilion, which features a built-in barbecue pit.
