Mark your calendars, because it’s almost time for you to Get In The Loop! The streets of downtown Dothan are about to pulse with rhythm, color, and creativity. The Loop Music & Art Festival returns for its fifth year on April 10–11, 2026. Hosted at Porter Park Amphitheater on St. Andrews Street, this free, family-friendly celebration is the ultimate spring kickoff—an unforgettable fusion of live music, jaw-dropping visual art, and community connection that draws thousands every year.
A Weekend Gem For The Southeast Art Scene

(Visit Dothan/Contributed)
Organized by Art in Public Places and Live at the Opera, Inc., the Loop has grown from a local gem into one of the Southeast’s must-attend arts weekend. This isn’t just another festival; it’s a full-sensory experience that transforms downtown Dothan into a living canvas of sound and sight. The best part is admission is completely free and open to the public, making it accessible for music lovers, art enthusiasts, families, and visitors alike.
Art Takes Center Stage
Over 50 visual artists will transform Porter Park into an open-air gallery. Expect 45 exhibiting creators plus six live-demonstrating artists and three collaborative groups showcasing painting, ceramics, jewelry, fiber arts, metalwork, photography, and more. Watch masterpieces come to life in real time, shop one-of-a-kind pieces directly from the makers, and explore mural tours that highlight Dothan’s growing public-art scene.
New this year: $2,500 in artist awards, including a $650 Best of Show prize, two $400 Awards of Distinction, and five $175 Merit Awards—proof that the Loop invests in the very talent that makes it shine.
Friday Night Groove: April 10

Need a break from shopping and exploring the art exhibits? Kick back, grab a bite, and enjoy a variety of musical experiences. Birmingham DJ Suaze will spin vinyl-driven sets blending hip-hop, jazz, funk, and global rhythms that keep the energy flowing. Local favorites Wax Monkey bring their signature Southern rock, blues, and jam-band energy to the stage. Then, the night belongs to headliner Lamont Landers—Alabama’s powerhouse of Southern soul, rock ’n’ roll, and funk. With his gritty vocals and electrifying stage presence, Landers promises a performance that will have the entire amphitheater singing along.
Saturday Lineup: April 11
Saturday turns up the volume from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a stacked lineup of regional talent. Dcovan Mathews delivers heartfelt folk-indie vibes, while Trey Merritt & Hi Def layer in soulful grooves. New Orleans-inspired Boukou Groove brings funky, horn-driven soul that feels like a second-line parade rolling through Dothan.
The weekend culminates with another unforgettable set from Lamont Landers and friends—think raw emotion, blistering guitar solos, and dance-floor anthems under the Alabama sky.
