To take the muss and fuss out of your holiday entertainment, turn to these places for a to-go heat-and-eat Thanksgiving feast that will serve a crowd.

But you must plan ahead. Cutoff for turkey day orders is as early as Friday, November 17 at noon.

Here are some places to order in South Alabama.

 

Gourmet Handmade Fine Foods

Dothan

Options: Sliced roasted turkey breast, sliced baked ham, or spiral-sliced maple ham; Sides include cranberry-orange compote, turkey gravy, egg bread dressing, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, cheddar-broccoli-wild rice casserole, green beans, and squash casserole. Yeast rolls include maple-thyme butter.

Prices: Meats are $16-$80, depending on type and serving size; sides are $10 (serves 2), $18 for medium (serves 3-4), $32 for large (serves 5-6); gravy and compote sold by the half pint ($5), pint ($8), and quart ($14.50).

Moe’s Original BBQ

Area locations: Daphne, Foley, downtown Mobile, west Mobile, Orange Beach, Semmes

Options: Smoked meats include whole turkey (12-14 pounds), spiral sliced ham (9 pounds), pulled pork and ribs. Side options include cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, and corn pudding.

Prices: Vary by item. Whole pan for side dishes serves 18-22; half pan serves 10-12.

Naman’s Catering

Mobile

Options: Meal packages include whole roasted turkey and one or more sides; one option includes both turkey and spiral honey baked ham. More gourmet meal packages add gumbo, beef tenderloin, or crab bisque. A la carte sides are sold a la carte or as a package. Meats can be purchase individually or by the pound. Prices: Meal packages are $129-$199 (feed 12-15); gourmet options are $229-$349; sides package is $149. A la carte sides are $15.95-$19.95 for third pans (serves 6-8) and $29.95-$34.95 for half pans (serves 12-15). Desserts are $15-$39.99.

Options: Chef David Pan’s to-go menu starts with brined and roasted whole turkey and whole roasted tenderloin. Sides options are roasted garlic whipped potatoes, roasted sweet potato smash with brown sugar and candied pecans, olive-oil roasted brussels sprouts, and herb dressing. Gravy and cranberry sauce are sold by the quart. Pie choices are pumpkin and French silk.

Prices: Meats, which serve 10-12, are market-priced, sides are $25 for quarter pans (serves 4-6) and $45 for half pans (serve 10-12). Pies (serves 8) are $30.

Rae’s Kitchen

Options: Everything but the main meat are on the Thanksgiving to-go menu at Rae’s. Sides include cornbread dressing, corn pudding, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and traditional casseroles: squash, green bean, broccoli-rice, and sweet potato. “Crowd pleasers” include dips, spreads, sliders, and savory muffins. Go-withs include two types of gravy, orange-cranberry relish, and Rae’s pickles. Desserts are pumpkin, pecan and two kinds of chess pies, and cookie boxes.

Prices: Sides sold by small (3 servings) $15.50, medium (6 servings) $30, large (8 servings) $40, and XL (12-15 servings) $60. Crowd pleasers are $7.50-$30. Desserts are $22-$50.

Order deadline: Not mentioned. Pick up is the Monday through Wednesday before the holiday.

 

Rouses Markets

Area locations: Mobile (two locations), Theodore, Spanish Fort, Daphne, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach.

Options: Meats include oven-roasted or Cajun whole turkeys, turkey breast, and spiral-sliced ham. Sides include four kinds of dressing (cornbread, dirty rice, oyster Bienville, and shrimp with mirliton; spinach Madeline; sweet potato or green bean casseroles; mashed potatoes; and corn pudding. Dessert is bread pudding. They also have a Thanksgiving menu for breakfast, mini sandwiches, seafood, fried chicken, finger foods (boudin eggrolls!), dips, and party trays.
