Caycedo founded MyRainBerry in 2021, but it was an arduous process to get there. After studying cosmetology in her early 20s, she didn’t know which direction she wanted to take. “For years, I explored different areas of the beauty industry, like hair and nails, until one day, I had a strong feeling that I had to change my job to help people. I didn’t know exactly what I should do,” she recalls. 

One day, her husband took her to a skincare store and suggested she make similar products, but products with all-natural ingredients. Originally from Uzbekistan, Caycedo was already passionate about using local Uzbek herbs, plants, and flowers.

As many of us know personally, a business begins with a vision and a dream—but it takes immense dedication and hard work to make that dream a reality. For Caycedo, this meant many sleepless nights while trying to balance life as an entrepreneur and mom. 

“At that early stage, I was a mom of three, and my two youngest were under two years old,” she explains. “Even with those long nights, I committed to get up at five AM to study while my little ones were still asleep. Sometimes, my hands were shaking because I was so tired, but I had my passion, love, and a clear goal on what I wanted to do and where I wanted to be. And, here I am, six years later.”

Since founding MyRainBerry, Caycedo has grown her business as both a certified cosmetologist and an organic skincare formulator. What’s even better is that the brand has an open vegan lab, where anyone can observe how their skincare products are crafted with full transparency. “You get to sit at the chef’s table,” Caycedo says.

MyRainBerry offers a wide range of skincare products, which are all made in their local lab which protects against any cross-contamination. Caycedo is not only passionate about making natural products that work; she also consistently seeks out ways to make the products beautiful themselves. “For the shampoo bars, we use lots of herbs and flowers that give a lovely color,” she says. The MyRainBerry spa utilizes all of the vegan lab’s locally-made products in their spa services, something that Caycedo takes great pride in. “In our spa, we use only freshly made, natural facial masques, which our guests can purchase to add to their skincare regimen. Additionally, every one of our skincare products contains vegan probiotics that help to balance the flora of the skin.”
