Lake Martin Light is a beer created around a shared love for a place. It’s not just named for it—it’s refreshing, enjoyable, relaxing, and full of flavor, just like the lake itself. And now, even though summer is coming to an end, the taste of the lake life doesn’t have to be—because it’s now available right here in Birmingham.
Lake Martin Light was inspired by the easy-going spirit of life on the water and the strong sense of community at Lake Martin. Lifelong friends Michael Bird, founder of Lake Martin Life; Ellis Terry, founder of SoulGrown; and Paul Shashy, owner of SoulGrown, set out to make a beer that captured what they loved about their favorite lake. A partnership with Cahaba Brewing was able to make that vision a reality.
Brewed with high-quality ingredients at only 3.5% ABV, it’s a lower-calorie beer that doesn’t sacrifice flavor. Whether you’re unwinding after a day on the water, meeting old friends for drinks after dinner, or just trying to find your piece of the lake, Lake Martin Light is made for the occasion.
Earlier this summer, Lake Martin Light launched at several restaurants and venues around Lake Martin. It was so well received by the community that Birmingham and Lake Martin goers alike can now enjoy a taste of the lake life at home. It’s currently being offered at Hop City and Jack Brown’s in Birmingham, Beer Hog in Pelham, and the Country Club of Birmingham, with more locations to come soon.
Made to embody everything that makes Lake Martin special, it was never meant to be just a beer—and after its successful launch, it’s clear lake goers agree.
To enjoy a taste of the lake life for yourself, simply tell your bartender, “I’ll take the lake beer.”
