Ella Langley

Alabama native Ella Langley is continuing her meteoric rise in country music. The Hope Hull native made Academy of Country Music Awards history this week after earning the most wins ever by an artist in a single night.

Langley, who grew up in the small community just outside Montgomery, swept every category she was nominated in during the 2026 ACM Awards in Las Vegas, taking home seven trophies and surpassing previous one-night records held by country legends including Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, and Chris Stapleton, who each previously earned six wins in a single ceremony.

The breakout star earned some of the night’s biggest honors, including Female Artist of the Year, Artist-Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year, and Single of the Year for her crossover hit “Choosin’ Texas.” She also won Music Event of the Year alongside fellow Alabama artist Riley Green for their collaboration “Don’t Mind If I Do.”

Because Langley received additional recognition as both songwriter and producer on some projects, her total climbed to seven ACM trophies for the night.

The wins continue a remarkable streak for the singer-songwriter, whose sophomore album Dandelion and breakout success over the last two years have pushed her into country music’s top tier. Combined with her five ACM wins in 2025, Langley now holds the record for the most ACM victories earned across a two-year span, with 12 total awards.

This year’s ceremony also marked another major career milestone: Langley became the first new Female Artist of the Year winner since Lainey Wilson to capture the Female Artist title just one year later. Only a handful of women in ACM history have made that leap so quickly, including Carrie Underwood and Crystal Gayle.

Langley also joined an exclusive group of artists to win Single of the Year in back-to-back years. Last year, she earned the honor for “you look like you love me,” another collaboration with Green.

Hosted by Shania Twain, the 61st ACM Awards took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and streamed live on Prime Video.

For Langley, whose journey began in a small Alabama community before reaching country music’s biggest stage, the record-setting night is another sign that one of the genre’s fastest-rising stars is only getting started.
