There are few places one enters that leave a lasting effect and even fewer that seem to be a step into an alternate state. Whether through over-the-top extravagance (see Birmingham’s Miracle on 24th Street) or nods to foreign cultures (see Alabama’s top French-inspired spaces), finding a local spot that inspires is no small task.

Luckily, The Well in Opelika makes this simple. According to Auburn-Opelika Tourism, “The Well is a tea room that serves different teas, lattes, collagen waters, and more. They serve delicious food from the Cup and Saucer as well as freshly made toast and paninis too. Downstairs there are different rooms that are made for relaxing. They have an in-house pedicurist that is also available while you sip your teas. Finally, you are able to rent or buy thrifted clothes and take pictures downstairs for the perfect Instagram shot.”

From the beginning, The Well was designed to bring rest and wellness to its visitors. The Well was designed to create moments of connection and it does so through a few different avenues. Guests can enjoy high tea in a picturesque setting in which no expense is spared. Tea is served in stunning cups with elegant designs and shared amongst attendees of your choice as reservations can be made from 5-10 PM. Private tea parties and high tea for four can be scheduled as well as private photography in the space.

The Well has debuted its Creative Cafe series which allows the option to get in touch with your own creativity through their thoughtfully designed activities. “The Creative Cafe provides unique and heartfelt gifts for cherished teachers, dear friends, and or an unforgettable date night experience for two.” The Creative Cafe is one the The Well’s many efforts to cultivate community in the city and is a natural progression for the business and its mission to create a space for meaningful connection.
