Wind Creek Spa

Wind Creek Wetumpka’s Spa Reserve delivers Alabama’s best full-service wellness experience—and it’s worth the visit.

There are plenty of places in Alabama to book a massage. There are far fewer places that understand the art of creating an all-inclusive spa experience.

Overlooking the serene Coosa River, located on the second floor of Wind Creek Wetumpka, Spa Reserve has quietly become one of the state’s most impressive luxury wellness destinations. It’s a place where thoughtful design, elevated treatments and amenities, and genuine relaxation come together in a way that’s rare to find.

For those who appreciate beautiful spaces as much as they appreciate great service, Spa Reserve is worth the drive from Mobile, Montgomery, Birmingham, Huntsville or anywhere in between.

Behind the Design

Originally transformed from nearly 11,000 square feet of former conference space, the spa has been reimagined as a sophisticated retreat overlooking the river and surrounding countryside. The design team at Dale Partners worked with a robust $4.5 million construction cost to complete the spa in 2020. Dale Partners Architects is a full service architectural firm working nationwide that has earned a “Top Design Firm” distinction and over 100 design awards.

The result feels more boutique resort than casino amenity. With soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting installations, rich textures, and a calming palette throughout, the space immediately signals that you’ve left everyday life behind. The award-winning design includes nine treatment rooms, expansive men’s and women’s facilities, hydrotherapy areas, relaxation lounges, steam rooms, himalayan salt saunas, and a full-service nail salon. The experience has even earned national recognition within the interior design industry for its hospitality-focused design.

Exceeding Expectations

What sets Spa Reserve apart is its commitment to creating a sense of occasion. Upon arrival, the entire team makes every guest feel pampered starting with a guided tour of the facility, secure lockers, robes, and spa shoes. Nearly every signature treatment is built around a wine-inspired concept, an unexpected but fitting nod to indulgence. The spa’s signature experiences incorporate antioxidant-rich ingredients, house-made wine-infused products, and curated wine flights served before or after select services.

The menu itself includes a comprehensive list of treatments. Facials range from advanced HydraFacial treatments and dermaplaning services to specialized anti-aging experiences designed to improve texture, tone, and hydration. Massage offerings cover everything from traditional Swedish and deep tissue treatments to prenatal services and couples experiences. Body rituals incorporate exfoliation, wraps, lymphatic-focused treatments, and restorative therapies designed to leave guests feeling genuinely renewed rather than simply pampered.

One of the most impressive aspects of Spa Reserve is the hot tub overlooking the river from a room with floor to ceiling windows. Designed just for women, the whirlpool offers an exclusive space for female-only relaxation. Natural light pours into the space while expansive views create an atmosphere that’s equal parts luxurious and restorative.

Too often, spa visits become transactional. Here, the amenities are part of the experience. Guests are encouraged to enjoy the steam rooms, saunas, hydrotherapy spaces, and relaxation lounges that extend the sense of calm long before and after treatments.

For a girls’ getaway, couples retreat, birthday celebration, or simply a much-needed reset, Spa Reserve succeeds expectations because it offers something rare in Alabama. You don’t have to board a flight to Arizona or book a long weekend in Tennessee to experience a resort-level spa.

In a state known for its hospitality, great food, and beautiful natural landscapes, luxury wellness experiences can sometimes feel harder to come by. Spa Reserve fills that gap beautifully; the design is thoughtful the service is polished. The treatment menu rivals destinations in much larger markets. Most importantly, it delivers something every great spa should: the feeling that time has slowed down. One of Alabama’s best wellness destinations is sitting quietly in Wetumpka.

That’s what makes Spa Reserve more than a hotel spa; it’s a destination in its own right.

Beyond the Spa

And while the spa is undoubtedly the main attraction, it’s also one of the few places in the state where an entire day can be built around relaxation. Book a morning treatment, linger in the lounges, enjoy lunch, spend an afternoon by the resort pool, and return home feeling as though you’ve been away for an entire weekend.

Wind Creek Hospitality recently launched their Summer ’26 Getaway Package available for booking now through September 30, 2026.

While Spa Reserve is reason enough to visit, Wind Creek Wetumpka offers a complete resort experience for those looking to extend their stay. Guests can enjoy upscale room accommodations, an expansive outdoor pool and cabana area, multiple dining options, a modern fitness center, shopping, and entertainment throughout the property. Together, the amenities create a comprehensive resort destination, but for those with a taste for fun, excitement, adventure and a little luxury.
