The River Region’s biggest party is back and meatier than ever. The Druids Charity Club is thrilled to host the highly anticipated 6th Annual BBQ & Music Festival, “The Hog Days of Summer.” This charity event will be held on August 26, 2023, at the Union Station Train Shed in Montgomery. This festival aims to support River Region Families Battling Pediatric Cancer and other carefully selected local charities.

Over the years, the Hog Days of Summer BBQ & Music Festival has evolved into one of the most highly anticipated and prominent events in Downtown Montgomery. Its growing popularity has solidified its position as a cherished highlight within the community, attracting attendees from near and far who are eager to indulge in the exceptional music, delectable BBQ, and unforgettable atmosphere that this extraordinary festival offers.

This year’s Hog Days of Summer will feature a fantastic lineup of musical performances showcasing various genres, including blues, country, roots, and Americana influences.

Festival-goers can expect to be captivated by the following artists:

• Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country

• Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio

• Drivin N Cryin

• Southern Avenue

In addition to the incredible music, the event promises to satisfy every BBQ lover’s cravings with the River Region’s best BBQ establishments serving lip-smacking tasty eats.

Although Garden & Gun has named Hog Days of Summer the “tastiest party of the year,” it is more than just delicious food. This event also celebrates community, fostering fellowship and the spirit of giving back. This remarkable event combines great food with a shared commitment to positively impacting the area.  More details about the participating vendors will be announced soon.

“We are beyond excited for the 6th Annual Hog Days of Summer festival,”  Event Coordinator Stuart Franco said. “From the first bite to the last note, we promise an unforgettable sensory experience that will leave attendees craving more.”

The doors open at 2:00 p.m., and attendees can immediately indulge in some mouthwatering BBQ. The music performances begin simultaneously and keep the party going, providing non-stop entertainment until 10:00 pm.

Ticket prices vary depending on the date, starting at $30 in June, increasing to $35 in July, $40 in August, and $45 at the gate on the event day. A special discounted rate of $30 is offered to active military personnel, police, fire, EMS, and students. Children aged 12 and under accompanied by an adult will be admitted free of charge.

Also, attendees can enjoy a VIP experience tailored to the true connoisseurs of BBQ and music. Live high on the hog, and enjoy exclusive benefits, including access to a private cash bar, private bathrooms, private seating, side-stage views, and a variety of food options. VIP tickets are very limited in number but are available for $250, so purchase them while they last.

About Druids Charity Club

Druids Charity Club is itself a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization consisting of a coalition of like-minded folks who were raised in Montgomery. While a sense of duty regarding the need to give back to the community we love had been simmering for some time, that sentiment was galvanized with a renewed sense of purpose when our good friend Wyatt Smith became sick with cancer. Wyatt isn’t with us in this world anymore, but his spirit lives on every time we enjoy some of the things that truly made him happiest: music, good eating, and doing right by others. The late father of one of our founding members had previously started a group known as The Druids, whose goals were different, but offered an opportunity to form a connection between generations. And thus, The Druids were rekindled.
