Designer, humanitarian, entrepreneur, author, and mother of five, India Hicks is traveling the world, from London and Milan to New York City, Texas, DC, and soon, Mentone, Alabama, for a weekend of stories, style, and one truly spectacular supper—all at Andiamo Lodge, a creative retreat specializing in curated experiences.

The daughter of renowned decorator David Hicks and goddaughter of King Charles, India Hicks will debut her new book, Lady Pamela: My Mother’s Extraordinary Years as Daughter to the Viceroy of India, Lady-in-Waiting to the Queen, and Wife of David Hicks, an extraordinary tribute to her mother published by Rizzoli New York, a preeminent publishing house known for its gorgeous coffee-table-worthy books. India will delve into the fascinating stories, images, and treasures she unearthed from her parents’ archives, including letters from the Queen to her once bridesmaid and lady-in-waiting, followed by a book signing.

“We are delighted to host India and share her book, style collections, and stories in our intimate artistic retreat in the beautiful mountains of Mentone,” says Andiamo Lodge Co-Owner Colleen Duffley, a successful international magazine and commercial photographer, which is how she met her longtime friend India Hicks. “She’s not only an incredibly talented, socially engaged, and highly accomplished businesswoman, but also the kindest, warmest person. And we well know it’s a rare opportunity to have India to ourselves for an entire weekend, so we are excited to make it a truly unforgettable experience of literary, artistic, and culinary excellence.”

In addition to the book signing, India will share a pop-up shop of her Bahamian boutique, The Sugar Mill, at The Gallery by Andiamo at Moon Lake Village, where guests can peruse her collection of island-inspired clothing, home decor, gifts and accessories, and collectibles all day Friday and Saturday.

The weekend culminates in an intimate evening of elegance, the second dinner in the lodge’s exclusive “Conversations at the Andiamo Table” series. Beginning with a signature cocktail, the multi-course dinner and wine pairings will also feature India’s personal stories of growing up royal, her contributions in the design world from hotels to home collections, and her work on the frontlines of disaster relief with the Global Empowerment Mission and her outreach with vulnerable young people as part of The Prince’s Trust.

“I was introduced to Colleen on a photo shoot and immediately felt connected not only through our love of creative projects but also because I recognized a mad soul sister who also likes to run seven marathons in seven days,” said India of her good friend. “And we’re both never afraid to tackle new chapters, so I’m particularly excited to experience her latest. I can only imagine the attention to details and how much of her heart has been poured into this in Andiamo. It’s certain to be extraordinary!”
